I've always firmly believed that Erik's behaviour in the book was a result of repeated trauma. So this piece feels true to the character.
Angrier than Die Walküre?... Try Shostakovich symphonies (no.5 is always a good place to start). They're a whole different level of anger.

This was great and I loved this little journey you have taken us on. Quick question, how do I get involved in all these POTO writing events?

I really enjoyed reading this. The room being an escape was very intriguing. The chapter was tense but your language was poetic. Nicely done.
