Finally got around to reading this and I liked how you started it with Tai reading the story of Pinocchio to Ruby when she was a child while cutting to Jiro's creation. It was a great way to set the mood of the story. I will admit that I wished you spent a bit more time with Jiro exploring Vale both before and after meeting team RWBY. There is still a chance of that happening later, but having Jiro interact with more of the people of Vale before fighting against Gray Rhino would have been a nice addition. The bit with Blake and Weiss fighting was pretty much the same as canon, so I have no comment on that. Though once you got to the fight in the docks, the difference in raw physical power between Blake and Sun against Gray Rhino was great as it shows that the androids are a credible threat, which shows how much more powerful Jiro is as Kikaider.
Overall, it's a strong first chapter and I hope that there will be more chapters that can match up and hopefully you'll get more readers as well.
