This has been really well done so far. It kind of feels weird since my own fanfic has the usual villainous Cinder FALL in it, yet I'm so engaged with what's going on with Cinder ROSE here. You're definitely nailing the emotions for the scenes.
By the way, while researching for my fanfic, I learned that the chant Pyrrha used while unlocking Jaune's aura was a "religious ritual that she believed in." It's not really necessary to say those words to unlock someone's aura.

Poor Cinder. Leaning that her first positive role model in her life is “dead” will surely not be fun. :(
But as a silver lining we at least have the team all here (assuming Nix survives). I wonder what their name will be.

Two words to your rant Atlasian Society, they are noth but rich, know-it-all, snobs, who would actually find Cinder’s abuse entertaining, seeing as to them, Cinder was nothing more then a peasent girl who wasn’t even worth the dirt on their shoes.

Qrow ignored the profanity and instead fired off Harbinger at near point blank range right into the man's chest. The dozens of shotgun pellets slammed into him, tearing his aura apart and sending him sprawling into the dirt. Without a moment of hesitation Qrow drove Harbinger's blade into the bastard's chest. Marcus Black turned his head to see his killer and managed to glare at him before coughing up more blood. He seemed to want to say something but only managed to utter a weak "You…b-" before Qrow tore his weapon outwards from the bastard's chest.
Marcus fell to the ground and blood began to pool around him.

All right. The gang's all here. I will admit that I was looking forward to a more drawn out fight between Qrow and Marcus (similar to the one with Tyrian in Volume 4), but you definitely know how to make an intense scene. Yang and Ruby have been traumatized much more in this version of the story.
Also, this may sound nitpicky, but I noticed several words missing throughout this chapter. I don't recall having that problem in the previous ones. Ex: Cinder's feelings towards photos of her younger parents aren't as clear without the missing word (weird? unsettling?).
Overall, I'm looking forward to seeing how things will continue to develop for Cinder Rose and her adopted family.

So Markus Black is dead? Honestly, I'm relieved. For the last two chapters, I was afraid that you would finally make him a member of the Salem cabal. That for some idiotic reason, Qrow would spare him and send him to prison, where the bastard would escape and join the Grimm witch. I'm glad I was wrong.
