Awesome chapter.
Seems weird that Nix, Emerald and Mercury were at the cabin though. Would have made more sense for them to come across them on the way back from the cabin if anything.
Also feel like you should have killed Nix. Him surviving is just plain weird. Plot Armour really.
Silver Eyes activation nice. Seems a little weird for Yang to also be unconscious - would have made more sense if she was temporally blind, or her vision even suffers a little due to being so close to the Silver Eyes flashing right in front of her. Yang losing her vision due to the activation - and also due to her trying to find Raven. Would eventually come back probably though.

Wham episode indeed. And I'm expecting more tears once Cinder, Yang and Ruby realize Summer's gone. And more from Yang with her apologizing for this stunt. Hopefully Emerald and Mercury will stick around.

A burst came out of the gun and impacted the man's chest, making him fall to the ground in-between the doorway and the alley. In response, Nix all but jumped in fear and panic, pulling the trigger on the sword/rifle as he did. The weapon fired, and the shot went wild and completely missed its intended target. Instead of striking the assassin, it hit a spray-paint can, that had been left atop a small trash bin. It was close enough to Marcus that when the bullet struck, the can exploded completely; sending a shower of neon green paint in every direction for several feet.
The spray mostly struck Marcus' left side. Much of the particles striking him his face, getting into his nostrils, his mouth and his left eye. The uncomfortable smell and taste, combined with the particles hitting his eye, caused him to shout in pain and evulsion. The hitman immediately raised his free hand to try and rub out the particles in his eye, cursing loudly and profusely as he did.
"Run!" shouted Nix, before he, Mercury and the girl from earlier scrambled into the establishment, even as Marcus fired blindly into the alleyway, though his aim was completely off as he was still trying to remove the paint from his eye.

Well… good that Em’s here. Though, I’m not that thrilled that Marcus the Asshole is after them. Hopefully, Qrow catches up in time to pull him off their asses. Or, more realistically, Tai and/or Ozpin is waiting for them in Vale and takes care of Marcus then.

I dont like oc. It would be preferable to use an existing character, like Sun maybe, since we know he was born in vacuo.

I was not expecting the Nix subplot to be as good as it is! Though Mercury really didn't think this through given an assassin should know how to track and tail a mark so finding nix if not mercury himself shouldn't be to hard

Well, family issues abound this chapter.
Though I’m glad this version of merc has managed to get away from his abuse, now to see how things will go with his poor excuse for a dad in pursuit. I have my theories, but for now I’ll keep quiet.
The only memeber of the trinity left unaccounted for is emerald. I do wonder how that will go, considering Cinder’s involvement with her in cannon.
