What *is* Takuma ? What truth is so terrible that Hiruzen does not wish to be known? Was he created akin to Yamato, and if so who did they choose as a base? My own wild guess is that they may have tried experiments in regards to Incarnation, and the actual Takuma just flat-out died at the start of chapter 1...

I'm hoping he starts flexing his chakra like he is trying to get out of a genjutsu and just keeps doing it, and when it does nothing he turns and starts lecturing his genjutsu teacher to cut it out and that this is no time for training. and then the Hokage walks in and he just starts flexing to break the genjutsu harder, or marches over to a table, puts his hand on it, and then tries to smash it with something heavy to break a finger, only for someone to stop him, maybe even the thoroughly amused Hokage himself. This is an opportunity for shenanigans that ought not be missed. Plus it makes for a funny story for people to retell, about the recent promotion ceremony the Hokage attended where the candidate was sure he was in a genjutsu.

Just had a thought. Hiruzen being legendary for learning every jutsu in konoha takes on an entirely different and scary achievement in this setting given how difficult jutsu are to learn.
Wholly crap, so there's really something so major in his life that it's so classified the Hokage has to go through EXTRA levels just to access it!? and he's not a kyuubi orphan so there's definitely big time stories attached, except now I'm less certain he is an experiment, since it seems like that wouldn't need higher redaction control than him joining anbu. The only experiment i can think of by Orochimaru that would fit this level of classification would be what he did to create Tenzo, or something equally powerful in potential. And only one other knows? the Anbu Commander I assume. The other option is he is related to someone that makes this worth the classification, except if it was something like that it would have to be as mindblowingly dangerous as Naruto being Minatos son. Not sure who else would get the same level of secrecy instead of being adopted by someone, including a foreign parent, so I'm still thinking he's an experiment. Unless he is a stolen kekkei genkai user from another village? but again, not sure that would rate what must be the strictest secrecy level in the village.
Woah, and he has the Hokage himself at his promotion. Now that is itself a statement since he usually only goes to private promotions because of clan/village politics.
Poor Takuma's head might have just exploded at how bonkers his promotion just got that he has Gai himself and the freaking Hokage attending. And all his friends are probably going to collectively hyperventilate at being in the same room as their Hokage, who is here to honor the promotion of their friend, a nameless clanless 'orphan' from the genin corps.
btw, he obviously didn't set a record for becoming chunin compared to prodegies like itachi and kakashi, but did he set a record for fastest to get promoted chunin from the genin corps? the only ones from his class that made chunin all were jonin students, which just doesn't compare to his path. It might be that even though others from his class got promoted before him, he still set a record as fastest to make chunin in history without a jonin sensei. Mikoto is at most a tutor, so she doesn't count.

Kind of a shame, i had hoped he'd join the Uchiha clan, maybe end up saving Mikoto or even a few others.
Maybe like that Sasuke won't turn into a World Class Terrorist but there's still time so maybe Takuma will make enough changes that the Massacre won't be happen or at least be less destructive, since i doubt he can go head to head with Itachi at all.
