J'ai eu un peu peur quand j'ai lu "Nathan sentit le pincement familier à son cœur alors qu'il regardait Elizabeth marcher lentement dans la prairie au bras de Lucas". J'ai bien cru qu'Elisabeth avait épousé Lucas et je n'aimais vraiment pas çà. Heureusement, en lisant la suite, ce n'était pas le cas. Elle est bien avec Nathan et c'est super. Quelle belle famille avec l'ajout des jumeaux. J'espère que cette histoire aura une suite ultérieurement.

Lol, I first read your story a couple of days ago but I stopped reading it and dropped it like a hot potato when I read the part where Nathan felt the familiar tug at is heart as he watched the heavily pregnant Elizabeth walked slowly into the meadow on Lucas' arm. I kept thinking, you despised Lucas, so why oh why would you pair Elizabeth with him? I eventually picked it up again today and read your Author's Note at the bottom first, before reading the whole story.
And I wasn't disappointed. Your story is beautifully written. Lucas flailing around in the pond was comical. The image of Lucas with pond weeds clinging to his suit, hair and ascot then squished and squelched his way back to his car made me laughed out loud. I never thought Lucas could be so entertaining lol.
I was chuckling at Allie's teasing words to her Dad about being so gone for her Mom, Allie is right of course. Nathan and Elizabeth and their expanding family are just adorable, sigh...

Wow this was great! And yes knowing how you feel about Lucas I was surprised but pleased that you paired him with Julie…she will surely keep him on his toes. I’m happy that Nathan and Elizabeth have once again expanded their family and I love the names of the twins. Thank you so much for this. ️

Very good story! I loved the comedy in the pond, there were tears at the interaction between Nathan and Allie, and then all the feels at the interactions between Nathan and Elizabeth.
I think you did a great job with Lucas. If he had been given a redemptive arc or even grown an inch in character, on the show, then we could write him some other way, right? But unfortunately, their white washing only made him less interesting and more boring. So I much prefer him true to character, as you wrote him here!

Loved it. I think you were very fair to Lucas and kept in canon with his original character pre-s8. He and Elizabeth never made sense, but Julie is a much more plausible pairing. I loved the twins surprise & their and meaning. Very well done.

Even though I saw your post on Facebook last night (I'm the one who talked about the 'inside joke'- I'm going to try to behave...) and I knew this was a Nathan/Elizabeth story - I almost fell for the Lucas bit. I thoroughly enjoyed his dip in the pond. Very satisfying, considering what an insufferable, passive aggressive, snide, manipulative, self serving snob he is on the show. Loved the story. Hi There, I agree with Margaret Redmon and Nebula2. I was a bit confused about whether or not Elizabeth was with Lucas or Nathan. I had a partial hint at the name Collette; that it could have been paying homage to Colleen but it could have been a French name which would possibly indicate Elizabeth was with Lucas.

I really did enjoy this story and look forward to more chapters. As I read these stories and how fast they got pregnant and had babies, maybe I can understand more easily how there were 13 brothers and sisters in both my parents families. In my daddy's family they all lived to be adults and marry and have bunches of grandchildren. In my mama's family 10 lived to be adults, 2 dying at birth and one a little older. My mama was the baby of the 10 and the oldest sibling was about 20 years older. I would hate to think I had to be pregnant and have children for 20 years. Even though I did have 3 babies in 4 years. One died at 24 hours old and the other two were 26 months apart. That's enough of my family history. I was just a little confused as they were walking to the meadow for the reception, when Nathan was talking about Elizabeth walking to the reception on Lucas's arm and him helping her step over a rock. I have reread that paragraph so many times trying to understand why Elizabeth was walking with Lucas and holding his arm. All I can figure is Nathan was helping with the younger children and Lucas was just being a friend. Maybe he was trying to impress Julie. From the way the reception turned out, he needed to do something. I couldn't believe how quickly Lucas and Julie reconciled and ended up getting marries. Then Elizabeth has the babies. That was so sweet though, I think the twins were a surprise to everyone! Nathan is just a natural with the babies and the older children also. We always knew he would be though, it all started with Little Jack and then Allie. He is just so easy going and babies just love him. You certainly do know how to make a story exciting.

I love this! In the beginning there with Lucas escorting Elizabeth to the reception I thought they were a couple and I had to check who was writing the story! It all made sense as the story revealed itself! And yes, you writing a happy Lucas and Lucas wedding was a huge surprise! I do like it though! I do like Lucas and Julie pairings. They do seem to fit together so much better than Lucas and Elizabeth.
