I’m surprised Edward donated bone marrow and not stem cells, which is less invasive and the more common way these transplants are done. (My husband has had 2 - one using his own cells and the other, years later, an unrelated donor). Bone Marrow is more often used for children.
Glad it all went well, Edward moving in and the donation.
