Herewith please find a summer Reviewathon review!
You have certainly traced a delightful connection from Stalag 17 to Penguins of Madagascar and now to Stalag 13 with the arrival of Manfredi and Johnson in the flesh! I'm not sure I get the dragon suit thing, but I'm sure you can explain it. I liked the observation in chapter 2 that Hogan's team seems like a troupe of actors in a multiyear stage production and the way that plays out with LEBEAU DIRECTING! (what a concept!) in chapter 3. That fits because they are all constantly playing roles and improving.
I see a lot of imagination and wordplay in your work. I do struggle at times to track what's going on in your narratives. I feel like you may tend to underuse attributions for my taste and comfort - I'm often wondering who is now speaking. Or maybe I just need the Cliff's Notes... or learn Hungarian... or rewatch Stalag 17.
Anyway, a fun yarn that I will revisit to try to understand more fully!

Lots of humor and chaos in this unique piece! Looked up your diva and I’d like to think that she would have worked for the Allies. Chuckled at the dialogue as well.

I really like the quirky world view your diva adds to your tale…country of origin and past experiences showing through. The orchestrated chaos on stage is a delight. Really well done:-)

This is fascinating..I really like how you put this together…word choice and scene setting, and looked up the lady concerned.

I read your delightful piece as soon as I got an alert, but I wanted to look up Marika Rokk and I'm glad I did. She seems like a heroine's heroine, just made for our heroes. Happy Thanksgiving!

This story led me to research Marika Rokk, so thank you for the “introduction.” And I must say, you have a unique voice!
My 12th grade politics and economics teacher started every essay assignment with the tongue-in-cheek instruction to “eschew obfuscation,” so I was chuckling nostalgically at your word choice.
