They don't need a pacifist leading them though the war to come with Tom. This is a good group with good fighting skills and are also family - which also helps.

With his foreknowledge, Harry is able to get things in line to maybe prevent previous needless deaths. Plus the knowledge of the Horcruxes - he does know where most of them are.

I like that only this group will have to lie to others about Harry, makes it much easier to stop from changing some good things too much.

slight problem with the plot I would say, how does a man that old even if wizard that by the stories admission relaxed his training have more stamina than a guy who was just fighting in an active war. like i get how he would be weaker than charlus in terms of magical might but physical stamina?

Harry's getting more comfortable with the role-playing, of course it doesn't hurt that this is the only family that has treated him nice [that he can remember].

Learning more about Henry and understanding the loss also.
