Huh, and here thought the self-insert, was AWARE of everything AND himself,
but it looks like, in al the time since being an Isekai into the Type-Moon Fate series,
he initially forgot about all that, or did he?
The story description proclaims this as self-insert, which means it was an Isekai,
that was aware, of not only himself, but the fact that he was reincarnated as Emiya Shirou,
or rather the, version of himself that was NOT initially caught in 4th Grail War until the end.
So the long and short of it is, young self-insert Shirou, unbelievably,
participated in the 4th grail war, due the, Counter-Guardian version,
being unexpectedly pulled into the event, and offing himself so as not to,
but in the end, even WHEN Emiya offed himself, a fragment remained,
fusing into the young Insert-Shirou, making him into a genuine pseudo servant,
and unofficial participant in the 4th grail war...
Leading to the self-insert Shirou, into spontaneously, claiming victory in the 4th grail war,
and quite literally traveling back in time to the historic period of King Arthur,
and becoming the nameless, Eternal-King, an all-new servant,
that unexpectedly came into existence, from a simple mistake,
on the part of his other historic self, Counter-Guardian-Emiya...
So much wibbly-wobbly-timey-whimey, stuff, to takeinto account...ouch!

Hmmmmm, Eternal King, is confrontation with that evil, to devour it, truly your desire? If so, then by all means try it; be weary of bringing allies, they can be jsed against you mentally.

Wasn't there supposed to be shiki ryougi in this story, i strictly remember one moment where she was around during the time of the start of time travel arc?
Sometimes I wonder if the character is supposed to be a self insert reincarnated person or not cause sometimes he doesn't act like it.

Haven't actually read the chapter just decided to answer the question and the answer is run away or hope and pray no one notices you...unless you're doomguy in which case the answer is rage! Then rip and tear until either the maguses grow a conscious or until there are no more left
