Everything the Insert/Shirou has been doing has been so unsatisfying.
He apparently became a caster demiservant which was badly explained, but has basically only used hypnosis so far. Servants even with bad stats are really strong. You showed that Shirou is stronger than his mother, which is good though, its the kind of thing I want to see.
The Tattoo Shop scene was really confusing to read, and unnecessary.
And his reaction to decide to rescue Sakura only a while after Gilgamesh's warning kinda makes him seem like an asshole for not immediately deciding to rescue her.
Self Insert stories are satisfying to read because the protagonist knows things and acts on them, but this shirou has not done almost anything yet.
If the intention is for Shirou to become stronger and more decisive in the future, I would hope that it would happen sooner.

I don't know I will follow to give this a chance but this feels lackluster and confusing like you said time travel but it is not time travel when it is isekai. He has knowledge of events that happen and memories of EMIYA but does nothing about it. Like he shows no initiative at all and feels boring. He should know Shirou is more than likely a descendent of Murumasa and try to find clues artifacts etc. he keeps thinking about getting away when he should be thinking about a plan B, C, D, etc like getting stronger forming alliances, etc you know to protect his family, He feels to passive then the force introduction of Sakura was way too early in my opinion.
How to improve he is supposed to be an adult so he should think more logically. Create plans and backups and try to feel out his power and abilities. Also, since he is reincarnated and fused with the EMIYA, young Shirou, and Himself his origins and elements should not just be SWORD. Make him more interesting and versatile for example, Origin could be SWORD(EMIYA), Void/Otherworldly (OC), and something else(Young Shirou Origin). Elements could be SWORD (EMIYA), Fire (Young Shirou), and Ether/Void (OC). Next, because he is 3 people, his circuits should be more than 27 or make them A/Ex rank like they improved because he fused with them. You need to make him unique and that makes him different from other Shirou's because his personality isn't doing it. These are just a few suggestions which would probably make you get more auidence to read
