Also I wonder how many other canon appearances you're going to change. It seems that you've already skipped Misty and done away with his encounter with the hostile Spearow flock.

That chapter ending was so wonderful. This is a beautifully written chapter. I like how you're balancing Ash out. He's smart, but he's also warm towards his mother and Pokemon. Can't wait to read more!

The fact you resurrected this story after Pokemon Scarlet and Violet came out means you've got one more region to work with with Generation 9 Pokemon and the region of Paldea.
You have more material to work with with the Pokemon Franchise stretching well a little over 26 years.
I like how you depicted Ash as a genius with a dash of his happy go lucky attitude combined.
Ash, Amarillo, Gary and Leaf being the children of Red, Yellow, Blue and Green aka the Colors of Pallet respectively is an interesting twist, considering their startling resemblances.
I also liked how you had Charmander as Ash's starter while also giving him a Pichu bred from Red's Pikachu lineage.
It's impressive just how overprepared Ash is for this journey, considering you are taking a more serious take on the Pokemon world, with an established food chain and Pokemon being sentient living things like Humanity.
Heh! Ho-oh granting Ash's wish to understand Pokemon on a deeper level with the Rainbow Wing is a touching scene, especially with all the Pokemon that huddled with Ash, Charmander and Pichu. This will change everything going forward since Ash can now understand Pokemon and communicate with them directly by Poke Speech I suppose.
I look forward to the next chapter and Ash's meeting with Serena while on the road to Viridian City.

It feels like you're planning on building up to everything in general. Technology, Ash's abilities, and his intelligence. I like how you didn't automatically make him understand Pokémon and you gave your own twist to Ho-Oh's appearance. I also like how you kind of alluded to the fan theory of Ho-Oh making him 10 years old forever by a wish.

I can't believe this story is actually back from the dead. I thought it was history.
The opening sequence has got me hooked. I hope we can this story go much farther than its previous version.

Apart from a few mistakes...this is actually amazing! So Ash can understand Pokémon thanks to the Rainbow Wing? I guess that's a twist. Then again, not having Ash and Pikachu get attacked by Spearow was also a twist. I kind of like the new origin stories. I also love how fleshed out you made his departure from home.
