I many ways I agree with Harry about Deanna, reading emotions is a short step to know (or having a goo guess) about their thoughts.
It could even be considered emotional rape it they read you without consent.
The way Picard had Deanna with him and insisted she sit in on negotiations could be taken in a very bad light. If I was facing that duo and either didn't have a way to counter her or someone with similar abilities on my side to make sure Picard was telling the truth, I'd walk away, meeting off.
It could even be considered a grave insult to demand your side has an empath/telepath to read me, which means there can be no trust built if I can't do he same to you Jean-Luc. Wars start that way.

I really enjoyed the first chapter but came to the conclusion that I really need to reread Harry’s Trek to maximize my enjoyment. I just don’t remember it in enough detail. It’s my own fault. I’ve been seeing your profile updates and knew you were close to posting it. I could have reread it a few weeks ago. I’m sure I’ll get it read before chapter 2.

Glad to see this got pickedup. I was hoping it'd get followed up on.
That being said, I have to wonder how Harry will react when Vulcans can also "read minds" through mind meld. Although I recall that some Vulcans are indeed telepaths. I'm guessing this is past 3rd Season episode of Sarek though.
Still, given Harry's reaction to existence of telepaths someone should least warn him about Vulcans.

I guess it’s the nearly decade of maturity since the last story was posted, but I really don’t see Harry and his girlfriend lasting. She just irked me in pretty much every potential way she could there.

Glad to have you back with part 2.
I am sure the Valcans can help Harry with meditation and learning how to protect his mind to a degree as they are also telepaths but a different type and focus on disciplining there minds and emotions.

Great to see this back. I like that Harry is struggling and having to adapt. I just don't see him and Kim long-term. I feel she is too aggressive and insensitive for him. Thanks for writing!

Poor Deanna but that is a very realistic reaction to someone who's been through Harry's trauma, and just learned of her abilities
