Plausible alternative timeline with excellent characterization. The references are great and tastefully done. This is one of the best out there for just the 8man/yukino interaction imo. I checked the scrollbar often while reading this; didn't want it to end.
I am really enjoying the chatroom gimmick; it doesn't feel at all tired to me. I think you can get a lot of mileage from resolving the dramatic irony, i.e. seeing how they each figure out the other's actual identity.

I must say now this is some good stuff! The interactions are funny, adorable, and believable for the characters. The premise of the story was already such a hook, but it gets better and better with each sentence. I shall definitely be keeping a close eye on this story!

Those quiet interactions when Yukino appreciates and lets out a glimpse into the youthful romantic girl she is are adorable, and I think the fact that part of them are fueled into the online banter is really nice.
I'd say it brings a bit more than dramatic irony to the table, as a way for both of them to express different parts of themselves and that opportunity to understand both better through two povs (per character) on the same things. That's mostly true for Yukino, but it is also somewhat so for Hachiman who's not always honest even in his internal monologue.
Still, it's true that part of the allure of tropes like this one is the tension as we wait for the reveal, and like pulling on an elastic one needs to be careful not to go too far in using that tension. I personally feel very much on board with it and could delight in more of it until the pay off at this point, but managing the rhythm and end on a strong point isn't always easy.
Anyway, love the fic and had a great time with the two chapters. I think Hachiman is slightly too nice girl compared to canon - lending the book gets a pass, calling farewell after that is a bit above his social skills and spontaneously helping with trash and proposing a celebration are not things I think he'd canonically do without prompting by Hiratsuka or his sister - but that abrasiveness goes a bit too far in canon IMO (it asks much of the plot and the supporting cast for the story to happen despite it) and it was far from enough to take me from the story. Yukino is a bit softer than she is before being 'thawed' as the saying goes, but I 100% accept it as a consequence of Hachiman and I think it overall works very well with the ideas used and the story they tell. Really cute and soft.

I'd love to see Hachiman finding out who Snow Leopard is by dint of a Freudian slip (or a couple of them) from Yukinoshita, who has grown close enough to Hachiman irl to not be bothered by keeping her composure as much. If I'm reading into things correctly, both Sensei and Yukinoshita found out about their online connection. A natural yet comedic revelation is in line with the Oregairu setting, after all.
