Firstly just found this story and enjoy it...nice combo of Battletech and Halo Wars. That said since the fleet is SLDF do we have a breakdown of what Mechs we have on hand obviously no clan mechs or 3rd/4th Succession War types but say a breakdown of Lights Mediums Heavies and Assualts. They'll do well even in this verse thanks to being SDLF tech and the ability to build industry.

Congrats the unsc just needs to copy the sldf lasers and now they win in every space battle because guess what the shields of their warships are also see through and that means lasers go through them and of course the covenant doesn’t use lasers in any capacity just ignore their use of pulse lasers and your good to go

Have you ever seen the Spartan laser because it literally hits the energy shield first so no the energy weapons of the star league would not be ignored by the shield

Good chapter.
Cobras and Grizzlies were large threats to covenant ground units. Most of the more effective UNSC equipment was lost when the outer colonies fell; the mentioned 2, vultures, rhinos, etc. The scorpion's the MBT due to its ubiquity and lower costs.

Im curious if you did rolls on whether there would be any forerunner ships that were in working order or did you decide the combined UNSC/SL forces would be too OP if any were functional?

great work. For trove's denial;
confer with monitor on self destruct measures.
If disabled/absent, set some-all of the sojourners to blow; by self destructing near the star or surface, sabotaging their weapons in lattice/trident formations, messing with their slipspace drives or vacuum power sources, firing at the star, and so on.
If untenable, see how the SLDF's KF drives affect fusion reactions in their ships, and try something similar on the star, with a donated one.
If that fails, then canon it is.

This is one of the few fics that has a writer who understands how the military works, uses correct military terminology (doesnt use 'Sir, yes, Sir' all the damn time) as well as making competent use of the english language. A genuine pleasure to read.
