Hi, Yellow 14,

Thank you for writing this Scooby-Doo fan fic. I just read it and absolutely love it. I'm actually an OG Mystery Inc fan, watching the original "Scooby-Doo, Where Are You" and its offshoots on Saturday mornings when I was a kid, but I really appreciate the modern perspective. It's a shock when cartoon characters die, but then again, I watched Maude Flanders from the Simpsons get killed by a T-shirt cannon. I definitely teared up a bit reading this, but the thought of the start of "Scooby-Doo – The Next Generation" is really beautiful. Your story makes me want to investigate these new cartoons and live-action shows.

Take care,
Ryan

Overall, this is decent. Like the Cho oneshot I read/reviewed awhile back, this arguably has a similar issue in that part of the story is dedicated to discussing past events rather than showing those events. However, it's less of an issue here in that there's interaction occurring in real-time rather than Cho simply reflecting on past events.

Concerning the context at hand, again, it's decent...mostly. I'm often wary of the premise of "take children's cartoon, jump ahead, make things gritty" in that it can be faux maturity rather than genuine maturity, but here, it's kind of in a middle ground. On one hand, Velma dying in drink driving is a potential case of "grittiness," though the rest of the stuff is decent enough. And yes, appropriately, everyone likes to forget about Scrappy.

Anyway, decent job.
