So first of I'm loving this story, but there is one thing that's driving me crazy. Why is Matthew not learning any more cantrips or first level necro spells? Yes yes higher level spells are stronger but they are limited in uses. Ray of Sickness is an offensive level one necro spell so like with False Life he could use it at no cost. Also Thunderclap could be used to create space if you get surrounded and Create Bonfire is good for hindering enemy movement, forcing them to stay back or walk though fire. There's more but I'll stop ranting now. Like I said really loving this story but things like that really get me, characters say they need to get stronger but then ignore ways to do so. It would make since if Matthew thought about it but it just wasn't in his spell book or the spells and spell level he got were random, which would make him a little frustrated.

Lili makes her appearance, I'm surprised Bell was ok with Matthew taking a life, but understood he did it to save someone. Booming Blade sounds like a good magic for Bell. So a confrontation with Soma Familia is coming? Can't wait for the next chapter.
