Am I right to say that the aesthetic of your story (Meaning as you type, you envision...) a mid-century style fashion sense like Ballad of Songbirds?
I grapple with the concept of "towns" in Panem. The Author mentions multiple villages within District 2, so naturally other districts must have named towns in their own jurisdictions. I just wish that this was noted. But it is, I'm glad you are. Copper Rock is a fair name for a Panem town, especially a Two town.
Me personally? I call Colorado Springs "Ravinstill Springs". heh.
You'd think that Careers would be regarded as victims as well, but it's just as plausible due to Katniss' narration that Careers would be omitted from any memorial. A dumb move by the Post-War government if that were canonically true. More division.
I'm really loving your names. Primadonna, Profit...very solid and fit the canon series so well. It's not hard to do, but its not often that people embrace "industry names", typically they go all abstract.
Very very good job on the whole "Normal Names" thing. Me personally, I'd imagine that there still are some normal names still floating around, just very arcane and abstract normal names like... Myckenzie for example or even "Tucker". Old-timey names.
There has to be things like entertainment, yet one of the pitfalls of the series is that the description can be narrow, so I sometimes scratch my head at things like Ice cream parlors in Panem, or jazz or rock. I agree with you, but do you have a headcanon for that? Do they use "Our music" sometimes?
I'm loving the slang. We share some similarities. I grappled with the name "Panem Nationalist Party". I use a Different name. "One Panem", a 'big tent' party and the sole legal party.
I'm loving the little world you made here...I'll try and pop in again when I can..I just thought I'd offer some encouragement.
