...And bad trope Minato proves to be even worse. You know what, I'm just going to blame bad trope Super Pervert. Given that he defended his student, and the fact that he's supposedly this genius spymaster? Would have to have known about all that.
Although I'd like to imagine that he was kicked out of his spymaster position. And it'd be pretty amusing if his book sales took a nose dive, as they were actually supplemented with stuff like 'he hid coded messages in the smut', and with him no longer having access to his spy networks? No need to prop up his shitty writing.
Well, that and people not wanting to even support him, due to what he tried to defend.

...That's a really horrible situation for Kushina. At least being 'out of the story' means that she won't run afoul of other bad tropes.
One can hope that Minato and Jiraya continue to have a bad time, however.

I wonder how much of the 'reserve' of energy Mito has left at this point... It's going to be pretty hilarious when it runs out. Especially if Minato is shocked, that a limited amount of something could run out. Assuming he doesn't think that means that the seal 'worked' and killed off (half?) of the Kyuubi forever? I mean, I think that was one of the cliche plot points in the fandom, where the seal was meant to get rid of it forever... not that I can recall it taking place in a 'split into twins' plotline. But then, I think those also go in the 'already split in half' plotline based on canon, with the other half being in the Reaper/sealed with Minato who was the one to sacrifice himself.
