On the one hand, I definitely get why this didn't end up in the main fic... I do like Idunn getting a happier setting with Roy, and a more positive direction for the fic in general!
Still, it's interesting to think about the ways this could've gone, too. There's some stuff in here that could've been dug into, like what ends up happening to Pherae, and (more importantly) Idunn needing to be more of an active caregiver much sooner.
So yeah, probably better that this didn't happen, but still a neat idea for an AU anyway!
