So just found this story and read my way through it. Hell of a chapter to cliffhang myself on. :p Still an interesting one. Its funny how "im stuck in poke world" type stories tend to follow one of two main paths, a total pokefanatic leveraging his knowledge to obliterate the setting. Or a relative pokenoob who knows the basics but few of the secrets stumbles his way through things. This is an interesting mix in that significant chunks of his knowledge are different or just outright wrong. The one thing that kinda throws me is it doesnt feel like he has much of a goal other than "Might as well use my inspect gift to build a good team and try out the league"

I do feel bad for brad. Those ranchers sure are crude. I think high horsepower or earthquake is a good moves then headlong rush. In a prolonged match the defence drop would be annoying.

MC deserved the loss. He's too arrogant and doesn't even know how to control his own Pokemon. He's allowed himself to get boosted to his current power through talented Pokemon and metaknowledge, not actual skill IMO. Also, ignore those edgy commenters about disregarding safety. Killing all your opponents is a surefire way to bring heat and law enforcement down.

I think the MC is interesting so far. He's kind of an a**hole but it's clear that he is not on the side of Team R or the League, but himself. I have no doubt that once Team R has outlasted its use, he won't hesitate to report or find an in with the League using them as a bargaining chip.

Great chapter, just wish it was longer! I especially love the haka at the end with K Rool, I’m now imagining all of his team doing the haka right before the Final with the four legged mons in the back growling and grunting with Grundy front and center looking real menacing bracketed by a Golurk and a Krookodile.
