I wonder... since technically the Dominion still hold space-worthy capability (not fully sure, but if I remember correctly Hercules, Vikings, Medevacs and certain Ghost operative vessels had at least a limited space-flight capability, or at least on the space seen on certain missions like the WoL Xel'Naga Vessel derelict, the Heart of the Swarm Space mission, the travel to Ulnar, and such; and even a research world without factories would still hold a few of those vessels to move things or "basic" colony defense), I can totally see them exploring Elysia's Solar System for minerals... or at least try.
Since I've not seen much of Japan Summons, perhaps there's a reason it would not work?

If you're looking for another sequel, may I suggest Backstabbed in a Backwater Dungeon? This setting is like the inversion of Gate, where humans are at the bottom of the social ladder. Everyone dumps and enslaves them, then kills them because there's always more. It makes one want to Exterminatus that planet.

I feel like Diabo made a big mistake here. They need time to build up. Not even that much time because Terrans teching up and building a logistical chain is absurdly fast. They could have used that truce. Even if the enemy could also do the same, they can outpace them.

It would be interesting to see how Idum or the Dominion compile a list of all the nations of the New World based on their level of danger and hostility to establish and maintain diplomatic relations in the future. This would serve as a precautionary tool for both the government of Idum and its population.
In preparing this list or registry, concepts such as the level of technological development (pre or post-industrial?), whether the nation is multicultural or monocultural, whether its ideology or foreign policy is aggressive and belligerent (nationalism and jingoism) or passive and cooperative (pacifism and internationalism), the level of patriotism of its population, the degree of dependence on other countries for resource acquisition, whether it promotes or repudiates slavery, whether it has external territories (islands, overseas territories, colonies, etc.), its level of influence over neighboring

So, when will Dominion started to build Orbital Shipyard and then a Starport to build Battlecruiser? Because those are in serious demand rn. If not, then at least grab old UED tech like the Valkyrie and Confederate Wraith. Or have Liberators ready for long term deployment.
Liberators can be TD Capital ship for their extended stay on Elysia, just make sure they have proper Raven, Viking and Valkyrie support to knock any wannabe jerk off their high rise if they decided to pull OTL bull and being ignorant and arrogant about it. We don't like the lost of summoned nation citizen, because that's the brainless move. Take things cautiously, and send large Ghost and Spectre to have a complete psyche evaluation on local, especially those with aggressive expansion mindset.
And pull out old Confed and Brood Wars gear out of storage. Time for those things have a second chance at service.
