First lets remember Herra us the Goddess of Marriage, not happy marriages. That said not really sure we needed this chapter, an unexplained reason for Danny to remarry worked fine imo. Bell being a date rape drug baby is pretty harsh. Not that Danny was great either he seemed to know she had feelings for him for 8 years and just ignored it instead of helping her move on.

I hope ya’ll do realise that none of this was meant to come off as positive. It’s a strong case of unreliable narrator; foolish young adult lacking the sense should have making a permanent choice based on advice from someone they shouldn’t have taken it from.

The Herbert’s really can’t have a single good thing because god that was fucked up.
Taylor is convinced her dad became some kind of predator while in actuality Danny essentially got raped and baby trapped.
Also iirc isn’t the older sister of that girl a terrorist in Danmachi or smt?
A villain?
Either way knowing the Herbert luck she 100% blamed Danny for "breaking her sister’s heart and killing her" and now she’ll shift the blame to Taylor or smt like that.
No one left to tell the story only the reader knows the truth.
This is torture

Though being Bell's father... I dunno. Does Taylor need the actual blood connection? Maybe that's something coming up in the future.
Also, wasn't there a plot point about Alfia wanting to gouge out Bell's eyes because they remind her of his father?
