Well, the good news I suppose is if he gets his hands on the actual Philosopher's Srone, he may be able to make one himself. Probably better not to mess with the six century old wizards artifact he's been protecting from a covetous world, and that Grindelwald would have certainly tried to get at. and clearly failed.
