Interesting premise, Presuming Taylor has her cannon powers I don’t see how much use she could be; other than being a literal weaver, or assemble & construction of very small parts. However if Khepri is involved then everything is different.

Ngl the naval incursions remind me of Azur Lane or Arpeggio of Blue Steel, where unknown aliens? from within the sea devastate global trade and comms. Here they seem more sinister since they pose as enemy nations and stoke strife in humanity.

That's compelling as all hell. I love the shifted cultural paradigm for powers and the people who wield them. Especially because the difference between a soldier and a superhero is so stark. You put out consistent bangers and I'm really interested to see how this goes.

There was no mention of a silver woman but I do wonder if Eden survived her planetfall because the ceasefire/armistice destroying attacks do seem contrived to reignite the war by framing every major participant.
That said, this alternate history AU is very interesting and I look forward to reading more of it.
Thanks for sharing this idea with us.

It is a blinking shame it took me so long to find this, effing ff notification failure.
You should mention in your other updates you posted a new story, if only so those that enjoy your work don't miss it.
Thanks for writing!

I was all ready to be mad that you were starting something else new with a bunch of other incomplete stories but… nope. I need more of this.

Very intriguing premise and start. I'm guessing either Eidolon himself or someone with similar powers is behind the giant war machine attacks, with the war machines standing in for the canon Endbringers.
I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of powers Taylor has, and how she'll impact the ongoing war.
Take care, good luck, stay safe, stay healthy, and I look forward to your next update.

Alright, finally got time to read the story.
This was some good shit. Ack never fails to cook a great premise. I've said earlier about writing a similar plot, but I'm sure it wouldn't have been this impressive.
Anyway, the powers are pretty interesting, though not really the focal point of this chapter. Conrad's hydrokinesis has some similar aspects to Leviathan but toned down severely. Jim's reminded me of Ash Beast's but powers relating to fire have always been very similar in aspects.
And it looks like some mysterious force is trying to keep the war going. My best guess is that these are this AU's counterpart to Cauldron, and they're trying to keep the war going so that there'd be enough Specialists in the world that they can throw at Scion, or they're really sick in the head. Could be both. Still, it's an interesting take one the Endbringers' role.
Anyway, loved this story. Can't wait to see more of it and speculate even more about it.

Oooh Hell yeah, this is a damn good premise. It even fits with how the entities are supposed to operate, a rarity amoung AU's. I look forward to how you handle Taylor inevitably going white feather to avoid being drafted. Fighting in any soft of public manner would be risky as all hell and lead to the veterans just killing her to send a message, and hiding is pretty damn hard where parahuman senses are involved. Though Taylor has a leg up in that aspect if she has her canon powerset. The main thing she has going for that is the extreme lack of thinker/tinker powers the USA has at its disposal and the fact that they would almost certainly to locked into more direct war efforts unless Taylor becomes a signifigant problem. The best option I can see is fleeing from state to stateNew England has plenty of sparsely populated areasbut problematic desicion making is par for the course with parahumans.

This is one very interesting premise, I must say.
There's only one issue, and it's in-universe rather than out of it, that makes me go "oh shit", and it's the regular breaches in the truces.
Eden didn't crash. Or if she did, Zion being driven off by being attached immediately made him invested enough to stick to her plan.
This is going to be one very nasty struggle.
