I like the premise, but the chapter could start better.
For starters, the dialogue structure is a bit confusing and stuffed.
Secondly, I find it odd that Jinx would THAT emotionally wrecked while talking to Ekko when he shows no aggression at that part of her life.
I stopped reading when Jinx told him to follow her lead while accepting his offer to help.
I will probably give the story a second chance later, but I find it a bit difficult to read the whole thing.
I hope my criticism will not discourage you from writing because I want good TimeBomb stories to flow around this platform. It is just that your writing style is not for me. Good luck with your future writings.

I don't mind where it ended here as Jinx is admitting to loving Ekko and with her battered as she is right now it's probably all she can handle at the moment. Also, yes to the sequel as now we get to see some major changes going forward from here.
