Holy recaps Batman we got a lot of flashbacks today!
Well, not all flashbacks I guess, we get a deeper look at Christiana's descent into madness. I had my own main woman lead have a dark turn as her father's abuse push's her over the edge.
Top of that we have Kenny's old crazy " ex" is back, along with even more clones.
And then...we just spent most of the chapter copy and pasting the crossover from Shin...sure...I wonder if anyone remembers the original prime version's at this point oy.
We do get to original content after this thankfully as Cain is spreading the hate and nearly gets a bullet for it. Well, the past year showed that when blowhards get shot at it makes them popular...sigh.
At least his attempt to ruin Kaiba in court failed...at least Cain does not have the Supreme Court on his side. STILL it seems this failure means he will be taking more direction action so, we will see next time how that goes soon.

Ahhhhh, I recall some of these events happening in that other story with Zeed X! Now getting events in chronological sequence!
Reading this is a good deal to remind what has happened after what Zeed X caused for the heroes of the dimensions and the "truth" of the matter behind the chaotic character's origins. At the time, I was exhausted mentally with a lot of things and didn't really get the villain's meta origin, but now being in a better mindset and the like, I do enjoy it, even though it caused a lot of our favs pain and suffering.
Looks like the hits will keep on hitting as we see how Orcus fall happens though I do remember some parts.

Another massive segment to get through so lets get going.
Good to see more of the cast get stuff to do.
Seeing how Dimitri and his group is dealing after Zeed X went to town on the Multiverse.
Then we have the Faceless Man trying to act all Madara for " Muskrat"...its saying something that while the Enforcer future looks bad...now it looks well...less bleak then the future that seems to await us all these days...at least Evil Moon seems more sane then ( Gets shot)
Ugh...never mind.
Meanwhile, good to see Kensuke back in this. I feel yah man, I screamed like that after the election last month...hahaha...sigh.
Looks like its time to duel once again. Well...we come a long way from the days of Kaiba being checkmated by a Jirai Gumo as the decks are still more up to date. Well...I STILL feel that its a shame you never took anything from VARIS as Roken Kogami and the Knights of Hanoi would have worked really well in this, and would have been fun to see Kaiba deal with the even more broken nature of Rokket/Borrel dragons but oh well...to late now.
Still fun to see Kensuke give a beat down so hard even Atem would wince lol.
And almost thought Zeed X was back but was a flashback, for now.
Also, as bad a state as Kensuke is in his lover is going through a even darker phase, knowing a author is out to screw you over can mess with yah alright, sort of.

Another expanded version of a Gaiden chapter. I like the recap of the side stories with extra content; good way of getting some old less dedicated readers into the lore. Kensuke is still off-brand Reinhard, but his suffering is a lot more absurd.

well that was an interesting and extreme way to kick things off, didn't expect such intensity dude.
So the Yami Houou is back, as if the heroes needed more trouble.
I see Orcus is still off the grid...and the others having to pick up the slack.
Technically Pluto's digivice B.A.X. could be self used for fusions if need be, though the concept of polymerization stones is pretty cool too.
speaking of, poor pluto can't catch a break it seems I feel bad for her.

Lots to unpack with Defiants chapter 1! The unrest with some of the masses reflects our current reality, so it was a lot of reflecting on my end reading this.
I'm happy that Takato and Rika will get married and the latter working out in her room, I got that on a personal level these years during the pandemic. Loads of inspiration with the latest shows coming out in 2024 with X-men 97, and the battle with a giant Souja unit with the cast we've all grown to love.
The Amazoness-Senshi permantly fusing with their counterparts still a good touch as they are from another universe that met an unforunate end and I do recall some parts of this in the side story from some years back, but now with improvement and Minako really going to put Rio for a loop when it comes to relations.
Hiroki stealing the show with Yami Houoh and Igasu and the rest of the clones, this is turning into 90s Spider-Man, but with a better plot.
I'm glad for the refresher with all that's happened as it's been ages. I've been thinking it's time to re-read some of the bigger stories again and crossover's with Chaos story.
Another one, congratulations on finding yourself and acceptance. You are still you, and I still respect you as a writer and friend, so continue giving it your all in anything that you do. There might be things I'm not saying with the story as a lot to digest but I'm still in it to see how this goes and what the characters will go through.
Going to be a big emotional pull!
Anyway, that's enough out of me. Until the next chapter!

After all these years...nearly nine years since Cross Gen started and 2 years since Shin the Wrath of Defiant 's at last has descended. I had quite a lot of time to think about what I was going to say so let the show( Sees that the chapter is split up.) Ah, so you took feedback after all eh? Well, got to give some credit( Calls off the Anti-Spirals)
With all that's going on in the world these days...it just feels hollow getting worked up over lesser stuff...though that does not mean I'm not letting everything slide but if your showing you care about this then I'll be fair...for now...so lets get this started.
We start off with Cain descending into even deeper levels of delusional CEO levels. I know it was not your intent but he's reminding me of the damn "Muskrat" who's trying to ruin everything in real life.( Punts the Muskrat) So sick of arrogant CEO's and there god complexes but...one thing at a time.
SO...we start off seeing the team fighting more Souja, which are giving major Prime Sentinel vibes...makes sense since Cain is clearly going to pull a Bastion or something.
Meanwhile, Mars has enough trouble without a prick father causing trouble but, life's not fair at times.
Aside from that...we have enough clones attacking to give Spiderman a new Clone Saga to deal with.
The other groups are around for support but its mostly about the Sailor Scouts putting down there crazy doppelgangers. Well, it was trivial for now but now we have Cain getting his hands on the " Dark Phoenix" and one way or another this won't end well.
Well, I'll pretend I did not have the entire story spoiled for me so we will see where things go from hear. Till next time.

I genuinely like the regenerating Souja. Its not quite Cell, Buu, and Gerard Valkyrie levels of annoying (hope the Bleach anime handles that last one I mentioned better), but regenerating lesser bad guys have some merit at this point.
That one Sailor Mood side story getting recycled and updated a bit was an interesting choice to meet deadlines. Hell, there's way more context about the Polymerization Stones. I'm gonna read that part a bit more thoroughly.
Other commentary: Having a wedding after Mayan Armageddon sounds cursed, but I'm strongly rooting for the gogglehead and his scary tomboy fiance.
