"And he hates him in that moment, hates and admires him.
So he watches his partner make his name.
Remembers realizing a friendship, even though he doesn’t want it.
its only fitting, he thinks, that he should meet his end in the face of perfection."
...I'm speechless. This fic really...fit. It fits that Partridge regrets, that he's tormented by the lie he lives. Oh, the angst.

Actually, this is a really good fic. I wasn't sure, when reading it, whether it was implying slash or not, but I don't think so...
Interesting perspective you used- 2nd person, isn't it? It made it flow together neatly.
And yes, Sean Bean -does- rule. :D

Fabulous story!
The writing really made me understand Partridge's deep personal struggles.
Awesome use of description.

Wow.Amazing.You are truly talented. You wrote that quickly?I wish i could write as good as you because that was truly amazing. The writers for the Equilibrium fan fics all seem to be so talented.I applaud your story and Equilibrium both for being the amazing, underrated and underappreciated works of art you both truly are.

After a couple of months of trying to rent this movie I was finally able to see it (No thanks to the people who don't return movies!) So after seeing this wonderful movie the first thing I did was see if there was a category for it on FF.net. This is the first Equilibrium story I've read and it's a great one!
I was surprised to read that you wrote this quickly because it is very well thought out. Based on what we saw of Partridge I think you've captured his thoughts quite nicely. Great story.

NIce, short, bittersweet, and about SEAN BEAN! Umm... I mean Errol Partridge. I'm glad you added more depth to the character than the 12 minutes movie time alloted him.

*whistles* What a moving fanfic! I love how you've tapped into Partridge and the conflict within himself in such a small (but perfectly formed) piece of writing.
And, I agree-its hideously unjustified that something this good only has a few reviews when it blatantly deserves more.
Morithil.

I have to say that I am rather offended on your behalf. Something this good shouldn't get only four reviews, while there is crap out there getting something like seven hundred. At any rate, maybe that conveys that I think you are awesome, I'm going to go see if you have any other stories of my genres and review all that apply. Great writing, good style, and good characterization. You are excellent.
