Oh my, this really is the best Anne fic I've ever read, though it's not really an Anne fic, is it? More of a Gilbert one. Which is excellent because I ADORE Gilbert. Your characterization of Gilbert is fantastic, and seeing everything from his point of view is like, better than anything. I've just been re-reading all the books for what seems like the thousandth time, and I almost cried when Anne finally forgave him... so please, don't take as long as that because I don't think I could stand it! Such a waste. Hmm, you'll have to excuse me, I have rather a case of sensitive fictional love... Oh well. Anyway, you must update this or I'll be in the depths of despair, and that would be simply awful. I LOVE IT SO MUCH ALREADY!

Lovely, lovely chapter! I recommended your fic to some fellow Anne-lovers and told them I thought this one was pretty good, but I really loved this chapter! It was a bit slow at first, but once Gilbert got to school...okay, really, once Anne got into the picture, it totally picked up! (just like AoGG itself, actually, don't you think?) It was great the way you worked in the actual canon events along with Gilbert's own thoughts. Sigh. I can't wait for more. Thanks for posting!

Awesome. I really liked it. I love the "Anne" books and can only repetively read them so many times. I really like the idea of the story being from"Gilbert`s POV" and hope you will write many more chapters!

I love this story! I finally get around to visiting the LM Montgomery section on this site and find a Gilbert fic. How awesome is that?
I think that the dialogue is spot on. I sincerely hate the word "simper," but it totally applies to Josie Pye. She and that word set my teeth on edge. Blech.

O my goodness! This story is so GREAT! It's really interesting to get Gilbert's point of view in some events, because in the book we only get Anne's. The wording was also pretty good- you used words that matched the settings and time, eg, "uncharitable", "Mother" and "Father" , to name a few. Anyhoo, Wonderful story, please update soon!
