Whoever sent you that review was a complete idiot. you should never give up on a story just because someone ells yu to. I really like angst, and this story is just loaded with it. You might very well need more reaons behind the actions of characters, but it's not worhth throwing all you work away over. What if Naruto's still in the hidden leaf village, and that's why everyone hates him. What if he's the human form of the ninetailed fox? What if the two people he lives with aren't his parents, just two people forced to take care of him. What if they're so ashamed by that and that's why they beat him. Maybe his teachers at school keeping getting lies from his parents that he's a bad child and he starts streetights all over the place and that's why he's so beat up. The way I saw it, maybe Naruto's "dad" gets drunk and stabs him. What if Naruto goes to class and puts his head down. Iruka sees him and tells him to wake up. Naruto sits up and says sorry. Irka askes if he's okay and sees blood dripping of the seat and rushes him to the nurse. What i Sasuke akes him into his home to let him heal, because Naruto doesn't trust any of the teachers, even Iruka who feels really bad.
Anyway, that's just how I saw the ending and, as you can see, I'll be really disappointed if you don't end it. I'm sorry if I sort of told you what I wanted it to be, I just thought it might show you how much I liked the story. Sorry about my bad grammar, too, and feel free to E-mail me if you want to talk more. Don't give up!

I might feel sorry for what I have to say but you need to know something.
Giving up? The thing is who cares if the person was right? The person was only telling you of how you could, probably should do to make your story much better. Isn't the reason you were writing the stories/fanfiction because you like to write and because you want to share your ideas with others? Most people are not going to give up because some person or people give them maybe harsh advice. I have seen many people that have recieved flames yet they still write stories/fanfiction up to this day. I have also seen those that give up. I think that if you give up you are just admitting that you could never amount to something that you have never even tried to achieve. Giving up without a good reason is a loser's way out. If anything you should go over your stories and maybe rewrite them. You have talent and you can make something for yourself. Give up now will only show that you don't believe in your ability. I feel ashamed for thinking that a fanfiction author thinks that giving up is the way to set something right. As Naruto would say, giving up is not an option, at least for him and me. I hope that you think of a better reason of why you don't want to write anymore.

Honestly, I don't know how to help you with this. Everyone except Naruto and Sasuke is just a one-note psychotic freak, and those two have managed to survive three chapters without receiving any characterization at all. Though you're trying to make Naruto's life awful, you've only succeeded in making things incredibly implausible. The people in the story act without any apparent motivation, doing things that real people would never do. I can't feel any sympathy for Naruto because I can't even begin to make myself believe that the events of this story are happening. You desperately need to reconsider the way you are writing.
Start by coming up with the motivations driving each character's behavior. Write out who you think each character is and what drives them. Ask yourself as you do so whether what you're writing is plausible for a real person. Why do Naruto's parents beat him? It's not enough to just say they hate him, ask yourself WHY they hate him. Try and make things realistic.
Once you've done that, try to get away from the bland, declarative writing style you're using. Good authors SHOW, rather than TELL. Keep that in mind as you write.

wow! u actually based this story form every day life for most kids.. i think that is pretty cool and u can see how ones life is when they have parents like that...well i would really like to read more of ur fanfic so post another chapter...son plz
