Yea for the break in the writer's block! And yea for not being able to sleep, for reading this as a bedtime story will certainly set the stage for proper dreams.
Well it seems like good things come to those who wait. Amazing update. The emotions the poor Hellboy feels are nearly tangible. What he feels, the reader can't help but feel also.
And poor Liz. I'm not sure what's worse... looking like you should fit in with the rest of the world, but not being able to do so... or knowing you can't fit in with the rest of the world because of the way you look. But heavy stuff for a gal of 19. And you portray her 'not quite a grown up, but certainly not a child' voice so well.
And the interaction between Hellboy and his father always get me. The genuine affection, as well as respect and honor, they feel towards one another is always so spot on. The fact that I always miss my father after reading one of their exchanges just means that you nailed the interchange between a parent and child, no matter the age.
I, like everyone else, have been waiting patiently for an update. You so did not disappoint. Can't wait to see where this goes!

I have to say - your writing is fantastic and very engrossing. The relationships between the characters and the way they interact with one another is heartwarming and very real, and the dialogue is almost always perfect. I really appreciate the way you put so much effort into portraying the different facets of all the characters, especially the bond between Trevor and Hellboy. Your writing about Abe makes me smile, too - he's one of my favorite characters, and you really manage to bring him to life.

Okay, I like the concept. I like the portrayl. I like that even though it seemed completely dead to me most of the time, I still couldn't put it away. I also like that this will all come full circle and will have a higher meaning; it would certainly reflect well on you.

Aw, you haven't updated since December? I'm dying to know what happens next. I can see you like to keep your readers "hanging." Which is so not fair might I add! lol ;) but worth the wait anyway. i just hope with the new movie out you'll get more inspiration, insight, and update soon...please? :]
anyway, great read! your characters have so much depth, especially Hellboy, which unfortunately is not shown in the movies very much. i love it when "a big lug" like him has some depth, too instead being just a brutish, one dimensional character. and, dare i say it, this looks much better than the movies. ;) im a girl who's more into the characters and story than the special effects (my friend thinks i suck because of that -.-), but the special effects are great anyway and every little bit helps. :P
but im rambling, and i have tons of questions about this fic
and the HB universe in general but I don't wanna bug you and I'll save those questions for later. I only gave a glance through some of the beginning and the Liz chapter. Because I'm just a dork like that ;) and a romantic at best.
p.s. I found a few active forums for HB. Including the official one for the movie site, which should be obvious to most fans.
and OMG, i'm anxious to read the next chapter, please hurry up...within reason of course ;). Your one of the only good HB writers on here, thats why I'm anxious, but no pressure, really. ;)

My God, this had me weeping. I still haven't read all 55 chapters, but after finishing this chapter I'm staying up all night if I have to.

Whew, just finished reading all the chapters currently posted. Kudos for sticking with this story for so long. I don't normally read Hellboy fanfiction because they all seem sort of off and out-of-character to me, but you're doing an awesome job. I can't wait to see what happens next and this is going on my alert list for sure.

I just finally got caught up with this story. Life can be pretty insane sometimes. At any rate, great job. Good luck with the rehearsals and concerts and I look forward to more. Now if I could just get my muse back onto my own Hellboy story...
