I remember reading this back during the contest and being blown away by it. The descriptions are fantastic. It's simply a masterfully-written story. Though I can't say I like it as much as Rise from Darkness (which is a personal favorite of mine) and it's a bit slow for my tastes, it's still an excellent story that I enjoyed very much.

i liked it, and i liked how you used the opportunity to mention adam malkovitch. the only thing i noticed that was off was thefedration escort. well, i guess thats what you would call artistic license. i still loved it. you should really write more.
p.s.- if you still havent played prime 2, its a really great game and you would probably like it, especially if you liked the first prime.

Solid story, but you always write solid stories so no surprise. Still waiting for you to use your talents on something longer, or perhaps finish that story that's been in limbo for the past year, eh? One shots are fine, but fully developed stories are divine.

Lovely short. You don't see many fic dealing with the more day-to-day encounters of a character like Samus. Feel sad about the young soldier, though - seems like he's destined to become Ing fodder. :/

This is a really good Metroid story. I think you got Samus` personality just right, as it is how I imagine her to be like when I play the games. You could make a full story out of this. Chapter 2?
