All right. I'm better. Sorry. Poor Roland! Will he survive? Astrid obviously will-she's the protagonist, after all-but who knows? If J.K. Rowling can kill off Sirius and Dumbledore (*mutters mutinously*), you can easily off Roland! You did a good job of justifying his anger and keeping him in character, too-I can definitely see him being susceptible to jealousy, especially of Astrid. And who says we don't like Bennett? I, for one, am completely in love with the boy! *ahem* Though he does have a bit of a backbone deficiency. But I still love him! *hugs Bennett*
Cannot WAIT for the next chapter-but I'll be a good little girl and wait patiently. Good luck with the APs, dear!

I've been reading your stories about Astrid for a very long time, and I'm not real good with writing reviews which is why I never reviewed for neither of them. All I just have to say is that your stories are really good, and I enjoy reading this one as much as I enjoyed reading 'Astrid'. You got me hooked! lol So keep up the good work and I hope you update soon.
P.S. I was just wondering, since you like Pirates of the Caribbean and all, if you've seen the trailer clip for 'Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest'? It's on the Yahoo!Movies homepage, I thought it was pretty funny and I was just wondering if you've seen it or not. Alright I'm going to stop babbling and submit this review already, lol.

Je parle francais un peu (I speak french a little bit) et le translateur fais bien (and the translator was good) Bon travail Jackeroe! (good work Jackeroe!)

Er, I'm still engaged with your chapters and I was incredibly gripped in the battle scene with the french because it reminded me of the good old Battle of Trafalgar and Lord Nelson (I think) vs Napoleon, was that your inspiration?
And about Bennet loving Jack/Astrid, may I suggest your inspiration of that is from Shakespeares: Twelfth Night? (Where Olivia loves Cesario/Viola)
If you have then you have made jolly good adaptions and if you haven't then you have made quite a coincidence with literary history!

wow! dude, you should become an author, seriously. im just... im just "wowed"... you really know how to make the reader care about her so much and you really know how to do the "page turner" thing. really, im a huge fan of these two stories, and, honestly, astrid has found her way deep into my heart. im so curious... have you taken any classes? or are you just an extremely talented "newbie"?

Oh dear. The truth appears to be slipping out. Maybe it's Roland letting the cat out of the bag! Or maybe not. But it would certainly make for good drama.
As far as love goes, I think it's Bennett whose got the love bug. Or atleast, she SOULD be devoted to Adam still!

Sorry... I'm just so excited... these last two chapters (despite a few spare grammar mishaps that I was too lazy to note) were absolutely wonderful, and just about made my night... I can't believe how great this story's getting! All right, I lie... I did read Astrid, after all! I KNEW it would be good! You've inspired me to actually work on 'Red,' which I've been horribly neglecting... cheers, Jackaroe! BTW, are you named after Astrid, or is Astrid named after you? Just curious.

I'm reviewing cause I'm a nicey nice reader. Yesh, good chappy, Roland's PMSing, boys are thickheads and I don't understand the whole...brotherly love concept seeing as I only have one brother and I don't really know how two related boys react to each other. Wish I did though. Anywho, UPDATE SOON!
