Hey, I didn't see anything un-PC here. Just an interesting story.
I think Kirk would have made a wonderful father. Carol Marcus was right in that he wouldn't have been around, but if the kid could have come with him, he'd have been fabulous.

I think you've done a great story here so far. I'm going on the assumption that there is going to be more since you did leave it open at the end. Hope so. Your interaction between Kirk and McCoy is well done as well. And Kirk's whole reaction to the news is also done great. You've captured a moment that a few do understand and a few don't, meaning the other characters. Chapel was also written well. And yes, Kirk is my favorite character, followed closely by the Doctor,..and I also like 'what if' tales too. You always have to wonder in the back of your mind what woulda happened if this woulda happened instead or if that woulda happened instead, but then I've also been accused of thinking too much too. :)
My only thing...you'd b surprised how many people read the Star Trek section anonymously so you may want to change that if you want more reviews...
Other than that a gret beginning to a story that I hope you will try to continue.
