Oh, I can't believe I missed this story. Great job on this. I love the way the Turtles spend time with Splinter in their own way. I know he seems uncomfortable, but I think he enjoys himself nonetheless. I also love the gift they gave him. How sweet.

You picked the perfect activity for each of the turtles! Of course, as a Leo fan, I was waiting for his part. The ice hockey game with Raph was absolutely hilarious! Too funny how well Splinter wound up fitting in there! I loved Leo's reflective moment with Splinter at the end of the day. This one is definitely a favourite. You write Splinter so well!

I was laughing my head off, and the ending is sweet. Reminds me of the times I spend with my dad...

Some of these lines from the entire story just made me laugh:
"I do not understand this desire for speed."
"...a place with frightening contraptions that people are strapped into, screaming for help."

Oh, I think Splinter is finished, too pooped to pop. Poor old rat! Done in by his sons. You can tell he's ready to call it quits, but where the last one is his favorite son, Leo .,.
Blessed son, indeed! Poor rat, but at least Leo figured out his father would be taxed beyond his lmits with the other three turtles. Thoughtful Leo.
What a thoughtful, thoughtful Leo indeed, bringing his father to their original lair. And, making a cup of that blessed, longed-for tea. Yes, Leo certainly knows how to cap off a very busy day.
Splinter stalls for time re: Leo's loaded question - and - well trained in the ninja arts - Leo sees right through it. I lauged out loud, nearly waking my daughter who's napping on our couch.
Oh, the last part of Splinter's monologue was priceless. Truely perfect. I wonder what expression Leo had on his face when he heard that, too.
Ah, the wise rat answers-eth. Nice save, Splinter, nice save indeed! LOL
Oh well, guess the serenity and peace could only last so long, I guess. Love Splinter's remarks and then how he tags it with "I refrain from comment" after learning about the dinner preparation by his other three sons. LOL
LOL LOL Yes, I don't blame you, Splinter. Scrambled eggs twice in the same day is a mite much even for me.
Great job with this; you did well.
Be blessed.

LOL Poor Splinter; all he really wants is to have quiet time and his cup of tea.
I laughed outloud with his, 'where, exactly, is Coney Island'. LOL
Ah, he's longed to visit the ocean and now, here he is. How sweet. (grins)
LOL, seeing those on the rides at CI screaming for help. If that's what he sees, boy, is he in for a surprise. I wonder if Mike is going to be able to get him on any of the rides.
Loved Splinter's description of the affects the rides have on him. Certainly, I can relate, oh yeah!
Oh, I hate the Twirl O Wheel, and I totally understand Splinter NOT wanting to eat after being on that contracption.
Ancient master sayings? Um.,.maybe, but I wouldn't put money on it. Just the same, it's hilarious that Splinter thinks so. LOL
Great job - again!
Be blessed.
