Ooh...the story's gettin' good. I particularly liked the bit in chappie 4 with Chaud and his father. It was nice, usually people make Chaud's father abusive.
However, I was a little annoyed by your OC's name, 'cuz I have an OC named Calista too, though they look different. But, oh well.
This is great for your first fic, have a cookie. *hands out cookies* UPDATE SOON!

Not bad. You slip between present and past tenses and I'm wary of your OC. Just avoid mary sueing her at all costs. Otherwise, nice opening. It's just like every other day XD Perfect way to open a fic.
