You were right: I liked the content. Sam's pain, Jack's pain, very well conveyed. Still the small issues with the mechanics. To me, though, it makes a big difference between the good and the great stories as far as ease of reading and enjoyment. Maybe it has to do with the beta thing. Cuz I know that even the best writers have editors to make them look better.

Keep going, though. You have Sam & Jack at a different point in their relationship than we usually see them at this stage, and it's interesting. Personally, I wouldn't even know where to go next, so I'm looking forward to seeing where you take us!

Hey, liking this story (and am definitely glad you didn't end it where you planned to). I did notice, though, that your writing got a little...sloppier?...in this chapter. I just mean that it feels like you wanted to get it posted so fast (most likely for our sakes!) that you didn't reread it for good flow. Looking forward to more, though.
