While I definitely am not a fan of summarizing as much good story material as you did here, if it had to happen at least this chapter did it well.

Two things:

Oh Snap! We've officially met the Uncle. And if the BCPUs are what one very motivated Borander can do it means the Pulsar is going to be a big enough step up to make the jump from the Ginns to the Freedom seem small.
and 2,
a 300 CENTImeter positron cannon? Werent we all freaking out over a 200 centimeter ballistic weapon just a few chapters ago? And presumably this one doesn't run nearly so low on shot count and is significantly faster to fire thanks to the nature of beam weapons.
oh I'm going to LOVE the judgment.

That... is pretty much the dictionary definition of a scheme good enough to stop frost... Holy crap..
I'm not sure if i'm more impressed with Frost's skills, or lacus for somehow managing sex with someone who's ball generate their own gravity.

Ooh.. I like the Bane a lot better now. Overwhelming firepower is always appreciated. Though the ability to fire the mojolnir without a power drain would be appreciated. Clearly a power source upgrade is in order. :)
And I cannot wait to see what scheme kira comes up with to get out of this one. It'd better be good or frost is going to be adding a few notches to the fury.

One of these days we need to see Alkire vs. an MS. preferably once we get a few infantry grade beam weapons to give him a decent shot at doing some damage.
Taking out a mobile suit on foot has to be worth some bragging rights. : P

You weren't kidding when you said moral conflict was on the way. And this obviously won't be the last.
And you managed to make neither side sound totally moronic, at least once you factor in that kira is for all his life experience still mostly a naive teen. Looking forward to more.

I know i'm in the minority, but I liked Destiny, so it's great to see some of the characters at least get to carry over. Though isn't he a little young if it's only been a few months since the battle of Orb?
And see, this is why Grendals are better. If a grendal had hit the liberty with it's primary weapons the liberty wouldn't have come out with just a little charring. : P
