Ah-ha! Had to read the reviews to work out what was going on, but got there eventually (i am dead tired and should probably go to sleep x|)
Wonderfully written, very nice and again, and truly origonal (haha) piece of work.

I always love reading something so completely different that I never would have thought of it on my own, but so cleverly thought out that I just can't think why I never thought of it myself. Of course the Basilisk might have had babies. I don't necessarily think she actually did in the HP world, but it's a worthwhile What If.
I almost like this better as a one-shot - it's so much more menacing the way it ends now.
My one quibble is with the use of "sibs." Why I presume to know what words a basilisk would or wouldn't use, I have no idea. It just seemed weird to me.
