Sorry but this was kind of cringe. While Emily and Richard and Lorelai had a complicated relationship, that didn’t mean there wasn’t love between them. The three of them are terrible communicators and have difficulty understanding the other.
As for adoption hearings, it’s a good thing this is fiction. Chris would have to be notified of the termination of his rights before there could be any court proceedings. You can’t just terminate the rights the day of an adoption. All of the paperwork has to be in order prior to the day.
And your writing is a bit juvenile. It lacks depth. I was intrigued by the premise, but the execution left a lot to be desired. I know this is an older story, so it’s entirely possible your writing improved over the heads. It just sucks when a story isn’t as good as you thought it would be.

Okay since I finally finished this, in a day (which btw took me 8 houts and 16 minutes), I am really glad I did read this. I first wasn't sure how interesting this story could be, but I found myself loving it very much! It was very nice to read the beginning, and Lorelai trying to not say something stupid because she really liked Luke. I loved how you didn't make a to big Christopher debacle and in general it was a great mix between "drama" and "fluff". I feel like Emily and Richard were exactly as much in the story as needed, gladly, because they do annoy me sometimes. I do think it might have been a little out of character in Lukes arya at some part, but I think thats just lies within the fact that it's a fanfiction. The relationship felt very real and didn't sugarcoat anything, I would have wished for Lorelai to just have said yes to the proposal though. I also loved the Luke and Rory bonding, even though I always tend to think in these kind of fanfictions it's not realistic and a bit to much...
Ps:
I love that you made Lorelai excited to try on her wedding dress, such a awesome little detail!

I stumbled upon this by happenstance, but then I remembered your fabulous work from Presenting Lucas Danes. This fic and its sequel are now in my Favorites collection and I am looking forward to much happy reading!
And here is the horoscope... can't wait for what's next!

This is the second story of yours that I've read. they are literally the best. I absolutely love the Rory/luke relationship you have created and I want to thank you for giving me happy thoughts of LL to think about. I have no complaints about this entire story. I think you did an amazing job!

I love this story! Just a quick FYI (sorry!), the Dorian Gray plot you're describing is the 1945 film, not the novel. In the book there is no Gladys, no "Sir Tristan" (she calls him Prince Charming), and Sybil is a brilliant actress who loses her passion for acting once she falls for Dorian (which is his reason for ending the engagement, nothing to do with sleeping with her).

Just got through reading this story and O-M-G! Wow! I absolutely love earlier LL hook-up stories. The way you've capture each and every one of these characters were so spot on.
I do realize that this story is a bit older, but nonetheless, still amazing and so very creative and we easily pictured. Awesome job! Now I'm on to WITS2
