Interesting, i like it. although i want to read more of it. im a fairly harsh reviewer, and i think that you were mixing writing styles a little too obviously. poetic, with the descriptions, really nice. but then it takes a slightly black-and-white turn if you know what i mean when it comes to 'wait-was that a flash of a scale.' in this you are also addressing the readers which you weren't really in the beginning. but there are so few mer stories, so please explore this, and feel free to read mine.
