You were doing fine until this last chapter. You've got me thoroughly confused now. I'll hang in for a while, but I hope the confusion ends soon. I know most people would think you can't hav3e a story without messing over the good guys a whole bunch before miraculously rescuing everyone in the last chapter. The hell with that. Fourteen chapters following the path of the good guys getting things together and starting to recover from the stuff that's been done to them and then you jump somewhere else and confuse the hell out of everyone (me anyway). I really hope this gets straightened out or explained in a way to make sense.
