I played the game as a kid and loved it. That was rather hilarious. Sick and twisted. But hilarious. More detail would have ruined it and made it a little too real, I think.

Why? Why did I read this? (stupid stupid! Forgot what necrophilia meant) LOL No, seriously, the idiot I am, I totally forgot what that meant. I really can't give a review. I'm too scarred. Ask me for one later. I'm going to go scrub my eyes now.

HA HA! YES! YES! KILL THE SUGARY GOODNESS!
I'm afraid I cannot fairly judge your writing until I stop laughing... which may take a while... BUT IT DOESN'T MATTER! BECAUSE YOU HAVE GREAT SUBJECT MATTER!
(p.s. you have just ruined my childhood, and replaced it with the one I should have dreamed of having, but was never imaginative enough to. Thank you.)

((shudders)) Lord Licorice always gave me the creeps...
I love each example of how the King being lost has affected the inhabitants of Candy Land on an individual, personal level. Nice touch.
Grandma Nutt made me laugh... but then I felt kind of suspicious... why would she not be worried when everyone else is? Maybe she has some kind of deal with Lord Licorice...
Uh-oh... Lord Licorice...
"“No dear, not even ¼,” giggled Lord Licorice. Of course he had to laugh considering the neatly quartered condition of the King's corpse. " - LOL! Wow... maybe I shouldn't be laughing at that... oh well.
Hm... they're all dead, huh? Did he kill them after the group met them or were the people the group met simply decoy, robot-things?
I'm assuming he killed the others... hm sad.
Well, it was certainly interesting. Very well thought out. I probably would have been more connected to the characters had I played Candy Land more than once. ^.^
Good job. Well written.
Lord Licorice weirded me out, of course. However, at one point I actually felt sorry for him. That takes a lot. Good job.

I did like this story but just because it was meant to be a fairy-tale doesn't mean you have to be overly simple with it. In fact, I think the oversimplicity of the language may indicate that you're holding back.
Don't ever believe the Disney version of the fairy tales. The original versions of many fairy tales happen to be very dark and not necessarily for children. First, mild modifications were made so you could scare your children into behaving. Then it offended the prudish sensibilities of Victorian England so they watered it down even more. Then Disney obliterated what little was left.
I think you could take a concept like this and create something amazing if you choose to read the original versions of some of your favorite fairy tales. I'd recommend the original "Sleeping Beauty" and "Snow White" if you want to work with a necrophilia theme.
Speaking of which, maybe you should put a "necrophilia" warning tag in the summary just to be on the safe side. If you intend to make a fic geared towards adult audiences (which this is), don't be afraid to use more complex language. I'd also tell you not to hold back on the content because of the rating, but this site has issues with anything rated a hard M or MA.
As it is, you could have modified what you have now by adding more details about each step of the adventure prior to reaching the castle. There's potential for something interesting, but it's so short and lacks detail that it falls short of its target.

Omg.
That was extremely disturbing, and will scar my innocent mind for life.
Good job!

Finally, someone who sees what I see. I've been making up random stories about that game for ages. The only point that I would not have followed was where he kills her. It's not him having sex with her after she's dead, it's him actually killing her. That I don't get, I think he would have preferred her alive... but whatever, your story and it was all good. I loved it. Lord Licorice and Queen Frostine I always knew had something between them, they were the best characters on the board! Down with King Kandy... that gluttonous freak...
Luv Ya,
J
