AW, I only saw the anime-stumbled upon it by accident recently, but I haven't read the manga yet. I don't remember Nagare being there but this is such a heartrending and poignant little piece about Hisoka's parentage. I love your style; eloquent and lovely as always.

Yeah...I really like this. I love Nagare and usually I don't find fan fictions that actually capture the Nagare that I love. I love this ^_^. Plus I just love Yami no Matsuei.

WHoa. Nagare's actually making me... sympathetic. What a bizarre emotion to feel for a guy I normal consider a bastard. But it did give and interesting insight into Nagare's mind. Plus, Hisoka IS the spitting image of his father. I swear, those two are the only ones in that entire family that inherited decent looks... Kudos!

One can't help but wonder while reading this just how close Nagare was to killing Hisoka to spare him from having to suffer from the curse. The thought of having to be "cruel to be kind" was on his mind after all. Rui was incapacitated from the drugs and wouldn't have known any differently if Nagare had killed him and claimed it to be a stillbirth. Instead, he thought only of himself and his own misery and rejected the poor wee babe practically leaving him to fend for himself. Poor Hisoka never had a chance even from the moment he was born. how tragic.
