The CSI Sara I know was not Nicks lover. The CSI Sara I know did not live with Nick.
The CSI Sara I know loved Grissom, and Grussom loved her.
So, when you use your creative license to tell your own story, you shouid label your story as AU. It's not just common courtesy, it's good manner, too.

Um, okay, I have a problem with the basic premise of your story. I'm a government worker myself. I work for my state. The CSIs work for Clark County, NV. This makes them government workers as well. Most, if not all, government workers are unionized. The fact that the CSIs are closely affiliated with the Sheriff's Dept. definitely, tells me their in a union. Trust me, cops are always unionized.
So, if I got a letter telling me that I had to break up with my girlfriend or get fired, my first phone call would not be to look for a new job, it would be to my union rep. 'Cause there's no way this is legal. No boss has the right to control what their workers do on their own time. As long as both parties behave in a completely professional manner while at work, what they do after work is none of anyone's busines.
Now, having said that, there would be a problem if one person in the couple were in a position of power over the other. You know, like the whole Gil/Sara thing. He is her direct supervisor. He fills out her evaluations and the evaluations of her peers. That's not cool. As such Sara should transfer to a different shift. And getting back to your story, I could see the director requiring all of these dating couples to transfer around, so that no two 'datees' were on the same shift. That he could legally do.
Sorry to babble, but this was really bothering. Oh, and in my opinion, one page should not equal a 'chapter'.
On the good side, the story was fairly well written. There were a few more punctuation and grammar errors than I would like to see. No, I don't expect perfectly clean copy, but you might want to pay a little closer attention to that.
