Wow. Just wow. This story was so artfully woven, and so realistic! I have no words. This story is one of my absolute favorite fanfics ever. I just- I don't know what to say. Kuwabara is my favorite character, and I absolutely love how you portrayed him! Everyone was so in character, and it fit so perfectly! It would be awesome if Kuwabara majored in psychology because of this, and became a therapist for real. I can definitely see him doing that! This fic made me want to cry! The ending was so perfect and Kuwabara like, I have to ask if you could write another one shot or something like this. You're an amazing writer!

I first read this years ago after finishing the manga. This is one of the best fanfics for this series I have ever read (especially in first person, which is really hard to do well). I found and reread it today and it brought back wonderful feelings. Thank you for writing this.

This is beautiful and brilliant! I love how the characters are portrayed here, especially Kuwabara. I haven't watched or thought much about YYH in years, but this brings my love for the characters flooding back.

His first nightmare-free sleep, all because of your never-ending friendship and kindness, Kazuma.

"If Yukina was his sister… than there was so much about him that I never really saw." There is a million things about all four of these guys that neither Kuwabara nor we ever saw. And this is their story. A tale that changes that. Oh, yeah, the time for truth-telling has come, and rightly so, for I say, it's about time. Oh, the 'well, this was unexpected, now how am I going to save my butt' way, Kuwabara thinks, is his, while the other, already-expected way was the others'. Aww, this guy's always being left behind, made fun at, under-appreciated, overlooked... and worst of all, made a joke himself.; which, by the way, he is so not. "Too bad you missed it, Kuwabara. Then we could have all had a laugh." Aww, see that? Totally not fair there. However, we now see and realize that being what he is, who he is, is the good - no, the best part! Being human, Kuwabara was and is able to be normal. Being normal, he is different from his friends. And being different, he is the heart of the group, he is open, and more than able and willing to help them who are not able to help themselves into the light because of the darkness. He, himself, will bring the light to them. How ironic that the ones he sometimes envy ended up envying him more? Wow! Amazing! Very enlightening, this fic is; especially about not just Kuwabara, but Kurama, as well! Wow! But... "What secret could you possibly have, that could ever make me hate your guts more than not telling me at all does?" Got that right, Kazu-dear! :) This wonderful piece... each and every conversation, thought, emotion, story, flashback... answered every question I ever had or might have had. And this, this whole tale, is the reason why Kuwabara is, for me, the best of them all. Honestly, he's got a strong heart and it's in the right place. What more do we need as proof besides that? The best friend, the best brother despite what his sister, or others, say, the best human ther ever was among these guys, the best... team heart-psychologist or something? Haha! But he is, he absolutely, positively is. "The only way I can resolve anything is by hitting it until it breaks…" Yeah, that's Yusuke, all right, and Kuwabara knows it. "Were all my friends hopelessly repressed?" Why, yes, Kuwabara. Yes, they are. Very much so. :-) Ha! Kurama, a pain in the neck? Yeah right, Hiei! Who knows where you'd be without the guy? So, giving those words back at you, don't kid yourself! Haha! "I opened my mouth too comment", that could probably use the removing of the extra 'O', friend. :) "If he didn't end up doing twenty five to life, it was already more that anyone had hoped for." Please change that to 'Than' to make the sentence even better, won't ya? :) Anyway, this piece is Kuwabara in his finest hour, period. He knows what and who his friends are by heart... and what and who he is by heart. He sees and knows who the four of them are truly meant to be, now more than ever. And as for himself and his future... even the present; no fear, no dark past that might disrupt his family's peace, happiness or comfort and safety to worry about, just the hardworking-at-school, fun-loving, best-bud teenager life. And that's more than he could ever ask for after all that he had experienced, and "That was something they could never have." So true. All that they have learned... so true, Kuwabara. You took all these lessons to heart, didn't you? ...Though the stuff you learned; Botan's look/outfit, Spirit energy... and H-O-T (what am I suppose to make of that)! Hahaha! Kuwabara, never change, you awesome, awesome guy! You're proibably the only one who sometimes feel like the odd one, even if they do not show it and you do not see it, you are not the only one; certainly, no king's crown has been replaced here! There never was, there never will be. "Koenma's not merciful when a his father's spankings are on the line", hahaha! Yeah, I can see that... but again, the sentence could probably be made better if you remove the 'A'... "You've got four good friends who'll always be ready to jump in." um, who's the other one? Their are four boys, correct? Perhaps you meant Genkai? Anyway, yes, odd or not, they need Kuwabara. It's not just about fighting, their story is also one about friendship. Ah, about us humans... totally right. We are beings that never lack greed, make mistakes, do petty and selfish stuff... but fortunately, unlike the d-World, those aren't the only things we are made of.

"I think he was scared. Rather lonely, than be trapped and hurt." Um, how about "I think he was scared. He'd rather be lonely than be trapped and hurtt." Sound better, doesn't it? I'm no writer, but I couldn't help but notice that, sorry...

*Gasp* Ah! He aproves! Hiei aproves to Yukina being with... Kazuma! Oh, the only thing missing is the love confession itself, and making Yukina understand it all.

"A mulberry is a mulberry… And Kazuma Kuwabara is a man…" Again! Sorry, it's "A mulberry is a tree, and Kuwabara is a man." I didn't mind you adding 'Kazuma', but just thought you should correct the first bit or something.

I, too, wonder, how does Hiei sleep? :)

Oh, Kuwabara is the best fourth wheel there ever was! I mean, he's right. Without his heart, his humanity, and even his naivety, especially his code of honor and unwavering friendship, this group would fall apart. Sure, the journey may take them to separate paths from time to time... only so that itcan lead them back to the people they were meant to be, to where they were meant to be in the first place; with one another. Wooh, I think Kuwabara's POV is the best way to look at this wonderful tale of the four men of YYH. Ever. "I completed the group." Got that right! No being lost any longer, not when you've got a friend like Kuwabara.

This piece is superb. Awesome, period. Love it! Love this! So much!
