This was a lovely chapter, not to mention a treat to get another one so soon. I really loved Cam here. Loved how she actually paid attention to Chase's needs and followed through with giving him what he needed. She paid attention to his cues. Brava Cam.

Wow! I have to admit. This story exhausted me. (In the best possible way.)
It's amazing, honestly. The kind of story, where by chapter seven I'm lamenting that there are only seven more chapters available to read. Though, I didn't realize until chapter thirteen that chapter fourteen would most likely 'not' be the epilogue. I'm equally disappointed at the lack of closure, and elated that there should be a good bit more to come. Both of these feelings are buried by my concern that it'll be a long while before there's more to read. But that's paranoia based on my own inability to update.
I'm loving all of your characterizations, though- And here's where my disturbing personality comes to play... I can't decide whether I'd rather 'Joe' and 'Dave' were caught and imprisoned for what they did, or... Or whether they manage to catch Chase again.
Maybe Chase could use himself as bait to draw them to a seemingly convenient location where police are waiting, in hiding?
But I'll stop speculating (as though I could... ha.) and wait patientl- ...I'll wait, anyway.
One more thing...

I LOVE the thought that House -cold, factual, calculating House- not only would have read the Harry Potter series (until at least book three... and let's face it. Once you get to three, there's no going back) but that he would remember Hermione's cat's name. XDD *squee*
Love the story. Love Chase, and Foreman and House, and Cuddy (tolerating Cameron) and most importantly, Love you!

Those evil bunnies. I've been fighting mine off with a stick. Great chapter. I really think you captured House when you mentioned how he needs control. And the only way he could control the situation was by controling what happened to Chase. Take your time, the story is worth it!

Most awesome as always, and worth the wait. I feel so bad for Chase. He's just feeling so alone when, in truth, he has people who care for him. He just doesn't know how to react. And House is great. Love it!

So, I'm reviewing late but... a late review is better than no review at all, right?
I love, and I mean, REALLY love your writing style. Once again everything you wrote feels very real to me so props for that!
Foreman can be so annoying. I'm curious to see the way he'll act in the future after all that's happened and his secret feeling of guilt for not defending Chase.
I liked the reason behind Kacey's name too, of course, leave it to House to figure our something like that :)
I can't wait to read more... and I hope they find "Joe Smith" and the other guy.

House's attitude toward Chase seems to have shifted slightly. He seems more protective now, certainly, but also a bit more...I don't know...authoritative? I mean, he's always been pretty domineering, but it's got a different tone to it now. Like when he found the door locked and started yelling at Chase to 'open this door now!' I wonder if that pattern of behavior would continue once Chase was recovering and back at work. Somehow I imagine Chase would rebel if it did. Even if he does follow House's lead medically, when it comes to the personal stuff he's always seemed like the most independent and self-sufficient of the group. I don't think he'd like having House watching his every move, but if House was truly shaken up by what happened I'm not sure he'd have much of a choice. Come to think of it, that dynamic might show up with the two of them living together. Has Chase actually agreed to stay with House? After listening to Wilson, I know I wouldn't want to. I can't wait to see those two in close quarters, though I also wonder how Steve will react to Kacey.
