Aww that was cute. I love Edmund and have often wondered what it would have been like for the Pevensie children to return from Narnia. Good job

“If I were,” he continued, “to take that rule and rap it on your knuckles, you would be gravely sorry, because the force with which I exude would equal that of a giant stomping on your right hand."
I love it! This was really great! I can relate to the good King Edmund, and I can only imagine how hard it must have been to adjust back to normal life. Well done!

Thank you so much! You've actually managed to capture the transition that all of them must have had to make from monarchs to kids. I always felt a little cheated that C.S. Lewis just seemed to assume that their lives went back to perfectly normal and ordinary, and they weren't majorly changed by their experiences. I can't imagine Aslan would have them rule for however many years if part of the point wasn't for them to change, and for the better. And, while I've never actually fallen asleep in class, I can perfectly sympathize with Edmund being way too bored in his class! Keep up the great work; I'd love to see more of him and Peter adjusting to their new/old lives!

Very Nice Ivory... short sweet and creative. Loved the intensity of Edmund as a King and the adjustemnt he tries to make into childlike mannerisms. Contrast is ineteresting. Oh and loved the ending fun is always great! Wish there was more :)

Very well done! I like all the little details you add... Peter whispering in the hallway, Edmund's teacher, the principal's secretary, everything that helped to flesh it out was done wonderfully.
Loved the ending! Thanks for writing this.

Nice...some americanism, but still ver nice.
It's just so sad...they have to go back to being children again...so sad...
Anyways, on a happy note, GO EDMUND LOVERS! WHOO! -raises hand in high five-

Oh, lovely! Wonderful story. I think my favorite part was when Edmund was staring up at the school, worried about going in. Your description of him as the "young boy with the dark eyes" was beautiful and really conjured up the image. His reprimanding of his teacher was painful and hilarious at the same time, and his realisation of how to get by, along with his determination to have fun the "second time around" as a boy, was beautiful.
Great job!

Wow, great story! There was the occasional grammer mistake, but the plot was brilliant! :) I hope you keep writing!

Lovely story! I never really wondered how the Pevensies would adapt to being in England again, except Lucy... There were a couple of Americanisms in it:
How do you go from being a King to being in the Principal’s office?
It's headteacher, or even headmaster/headmistress, here. But I write for an American fandom (namely, Lizzie McGuire), so I sympathise. Also, I don't think there would be a female teacher at a boys' boarding school in the 40s... I go to an all-boys school that allows girls only in the sixth form, and only recently, and they didn't have a female teacher until the 70s...
Seriously, though, I only offer that sort of critisism to sories that I love. And I love this! (I'm just overpoweringly English... sorry...)
God bless

Okay, add this to my 'Dammit, I wish I had written that!' list.
Brilliant! I loved every word of this from Peter's whispered advice to Edmund's verbal sparring with the teacher (who was grossly outclassed) and the spirited exchange with the principal's secretary. I can see the other students watching with rapt attention and I suspect not a one of them will dare mess with Edmund for fear of being verbally destroyed without even realizing it. The Pevensie boys will be the center of attention for quite some time, I think, and I bet the other students will be waiting anxiously to hear what they have to say and do next.
I think Edmund is quite wise to have fun with being a child again. They say youth is wasted on the young, but not in this case!

I really enjoyed this. I'm sure it would be incredibly difficult to go back to being an ordinary child after growing up and being royalty, and I love your take on the whole situation. I think the fic has a really nice balance of drama and humor. The way Edmund speaks to his teacher had me cracking up, but at the same time I really feel for him. His epiphany at the end was very sweet and nicely done.
