You try too hard to make her life easy.The rest is good,but people are almost never natural fighters unless there is a magical reason involved.Like in this one series if you were a wildmage you could be a ...darn can't remember what its called.Anyway please update soon,'cause even if there is room for improvement it's a good story.

this is quite interesting. i like how you have Dirk, Talia,and Sherri come back as companions. and this Herald Cole reminds me a lot of Kris, could he have been part of your inspiration? this Ayley is bad news, i'm betting she's part of the Dragon Keepers. is she a mage but was just never chosen?
