Does anyone use Fan Fiction Dot Net these days? I'm not sure, but I'm leaving this review in the off-chance you still occasionally check this account.
I read this story soon after its initial publication, and I've occasionally come back to it in the years since. I'm so happy to remember that there were avenues for Jess and Leslie to get the ending they deserved as fictional characters. (In other words, I'm glad the book and film ending ended how they did, but what the audience deserves is different from what the characters themselves do.) I've also always loved the humor you injected into your stories, and they served as a springboard to help me learn more about US Military history.
Again, thank you for giving Jess and Leslie the ending THEY deserved. If alternate dimensions somehow exist, then I'd like to think there's one where this was their outcome.

Would love to know if all this was real or unreal in the end.
I was around 12 years old when i first watched the movie and i absolutely loved it.
Im now 17 and am turning 18 in 2 weeks and just reflecting my childhood. It's sad that the childish magic in our lifes passes away as we get older. I will soon finish school and will from then on have to focus on my carrer. It makes me really sad that I wont ever get the chance again in my life to live my childhood again. It wouldve been so wonderfull to meet a girl like Leslie and to just have fun with her and to beware our fantasy. If i could i would really change my childhood in terms of living life to the fullest and to be nicer in general at some points. But in first line, if i could change something in my childhood, then i would be more open and not so shy as I became over the years when i grew older. I personally changed and wanted to be cool, successfull and rich. If I could life my childhood over again I would appreciate the people around me much more.
Ok wow i originally just planned to thank you for your story and to ask you for a last chapter and look what it has turned into.
Just had the feeling that I needed to express my thoughts this way, now, that I am so close to get an adult. Life will loose it's wonderfull, childish magic and it really makes me sas, almost makes me cry to be honest.

I'll be honest. Did you have to add that bit about the training bra? Kinda creepy. She's in fifth grade.
But overall, a very sweet and charming story that helps to ease the heartache left by the movie.
My only real complaint is it's too dang short. Several parts could use a little expanding.
I look forward to reading your other works.
